Cricket matches are played between two teams, each consisting of 11 players. The essence of the game is that one team takes turns hitting the ball and scoring points, while the other team takes turns hitting the ball and not letting the opponent score points. The main goal for each team is to score more points in the game than the opponent. Before the match begins, team captains flip a coin. This will decide which team will hit the ball first.

Each cricket match consists of innings. Usually, there are one or two innings and they are determined for each team before the match begins. In the end, during the inning, one team hits the ball and the other team tries to get on the field of play.

The game is played on an oval cricket field, which consists of a rectangular area in the center. At both ends of the rectangular field, there is a wooden tee – a wicket, which consists of three stumps, with two deadbolts on them. There is also an area on the field, defined by lines, in which the bowler and batter can operate.

Next, a bowler is chosen from the team of players whose goal is to hit the ball into the wicket. If he misses, the keeper is behind the wicket to catch the ball. On the opposing team, a player called the batsman, whose role is to prevent the ball from hitting the wicket by batting. The other players on the field, after hitting, must chase the ball. In addition, to score the ball, both batsmen must run from their wicket to the other as many times as possible after hitting the ball.
